So for a change of pace I decided to shoot the Galway Open Judo competition hosted by Galway Judo Club! The seniors were well over by the time I got there, bu the kids were still in full flow! Enjoy :)

A walk in Barna Woods turned into a Bouzouki/Photo session when Yui and I brought along our favourite instruments. I went super-experimental with the light and shadow, then with some split toning in post-production.
I was lucky enough to spend a very special weekend in Rome this year- when I was packing my bags there were warnings of severe weather on the news, and sure enough on my first full day in the Italian capital (during which I had a business meeting) the snow descended on the city.
The GKC Crew ventured into the teeth of some pretty nasty weather this weekend and emerged into the gleaming sunday morning light for a second day of paddling on Clew Bay. We managed to sneak up on the Seals this time!

Every St Patrick’s day there is a parade that aims to show a cross section of Galway life and society- and this year was no different! Thousands of people marched and celebrated the diversity and nature of Irish life, culture and sport whilst being cheered on by thousands more.

Whenever the tide is low and the Corrib River is running high it forms a series of rapids near the end of Nimmo’s Pier- it’s a world-class freestyle spot that only appears a few times every year. This time, I was there.

The Galway Zombie Photowalk 2010 happened tonight… a fun evening out in Galway

I just happened across this cycle race happening in Galway this evening, took a few abstract snaps!
Since the round-Ireland boats were about as exciting for the Salthill Prom spectators as a tea break on a wet Monday morning….. in Febrary…… during the great depression, I shot the P-750 racers in Salthill as they entertained the gathered spectators!

I just finished this promo piece for Central Park in Galway ; I did the intro & outro anims; the 3d Architectural Previs was by All3d here in Galway. The 3d work was done using 3d Studio Max 9 and Vray, post-production was done using Adobe After Effects and a little bit of Photoshop.
This is my poster for Galway Kayak Club who as you can see are now taking bookings for their beginners courses! Signing up to the course and passing the exam gets you an ICU level 2 Certificate plus membership for the rest of the year. There’s no better way to start kayaking!
The final day of the Kayak Intervarsities 2010 saw everyone head for the Boluisce River in Spiddal for the whitewater boatercross event.
NUIG Kayak Club are hosting this year’s Irish Kayak Intervarsities, I tagged along to grab a few shots of the flatwater and freestyle rodeo. Tuam wasn’t working because of a lack of rain, so the rodeo was held out at Clifden. Enjoy!
